Just in case if you don’t know, First ever PC computer virus, named as Brain, was written by two Pakistani bothers, Amjad Farooq Alvi and Basit Farooq Alvi, who are currently running an ISP, IPTV, Telephony and various other services under the name of Brain Telecommunication Limited.
Birthplace of this harmless virus is exactly where Brain’s office is today, and interestingly, both the brothers mentioned their address in virus code that they had written:

Pakistan’s cricket team disappointing performance once again created wave of anger among the cricket lovers who are not happy with efforts of players failed to chase the huge target of 302 runs against New Zealand and collapsed at 192 to face defeat of 110 runs.
Kamran Akmal has been held responsible by cricket lovers as he dropped and missed catches of New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor smashed swashbuckling unbeaten hundred to guide New Zealand towards mammoth total of 302 runs against Pakistan.
Birthday boy Ross Taylor scored unbeaten 131 off 124. His spectacular innings was studded with eight boundaries and seven massive sixes.
As the match was hardly over, cricket fans circulated SMSes widely to criticize the performance of Kamaran Akmal, the wicket keeper of Pakistan team.
“Wishing you a very happy birthday to dear friend Ross Taylor. I have dropped catches as birthday gift. Hope you must like it.
From: 3rd Class wicket keeper Kamran Akmal!”
Also, the brief SMS came as strong reaction covertly suggesting a protest in front of his home
“Kamran Akmal’s address 283, Block E, Defence Lahore
Agr Aaj kuch nahi karo gay tu kal bhugto gay. Khamoshi ka boycott.”
( If you don’t raise your voice today then you will face the music on tomorrow. Boycott to Silence)
We do hope cricket lovers will record their protest through SMS and refrain from indulging any violent activity though Akmal performed very badly in the last match particularly.
We do hope he could improve his form and win our heat with his performance in the next matches.
With a sonorous yet soulful style of singing, Atif (Warid’s Brand Ambassador) rocked LUMS(Lahore University of Management Sciences) with his thrilling performance.
Over 1500 LUMS students/alumni attended the concert and danced the night away.
Attendees appreciated efforts of Warid Telecom for organizing series of Atif concerts for the entertainment hungry Pakistani youth at a time when nothing is happening around due to security concerns.
Glow and Atif, will be heading to Karachi next week for another exciting concert.
The banner in the picture reads:
We have been trying to get out PTCL number 042-6371795 fixed for the last six weeks, but without any success!
It is not clear whether putting up a banner to register your telephone complaint worked or not. But one can only imagine how desperate this person had to be that he resorted such extreme measures of spending money on the printing of this banner and then hoisting it on a busy city road. Or, maybe, he is just trying to make light of what has to be a really frustrating situation. As they say, “Lahore, Lahore hai!”
